In April 2003, President Bush signed into law the Clean Diamond Trade Act (the “Act”) adopting the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (“Kimberley Process”) that requires all US diamond retailers to purchase diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation warranting that the merchandise was obtained through legal channels. The US Customs Service is charged with actively enforcing the provisions of the Kimberley Process as diamonds enter American ports.
In compliance with the Act and the Kimberley Process, we have implemented internal procedures to ensure that our diamonds are sourced exclusively from well established, legitimate sources.
