First, there is not one “perfect” design. There are as many perfect designs as there are people to wear them. When a customer comes in with a project, either complete custom, restyling, or repair, we evaluate the needs of the person wearing the jewelry and compare that to what the jewelry has to offer that person. As you look at buying or making a piece, it should work in your overall lifestyle needs. Look at how the jewelry will be worn—is it a daily wear piece or an occasional, more fashion piece? Does it need to be a classic style or more trendy? Will it be delicate and graceful or more hefty and angular? What is the feeling you want when you look at the ring? What is your favorite design shape? Rounds? Squares? We can incorporate what you like most in your design.
Once the general design is selected, it must be adjusted to suit the proportions of the wearer. This can be achieved with almost any style on nearly any size. For example, we are not talking about just sizing a ring—it needs to be scaled and, with tweaking the angles, we make the ring suitably comfortable for a tiny finger. (You girls with small finger sizes know what I am talking about!) The same goes for larger finger sizes—you want the ring to look like it was designed for your finger, not just sized up.
Inspiration and ideas are everywhere, as are choices of places to buy jewelry. As you view the pages in the site, we hope you are pleased by what you see and are inspired enough to call or email us and start your own unique, future heirloom. |
